Enclosed car trailers are nice if 1. you need the extra storage while not in use, 2. you don't mind towing the extra weight of the enclosure along with your car, 3. you need secure overnight storage from theft or weather while away from home or AT home depending on where you live. But as for me I'd rather use my 18' open trailer and 1. keep cars in the barn 2. tow less weight even with my diesel 3/4 ton pickup 3. not go to insecure event sites or rough cities. The new trailer this year with several options was $2000 with another grand for a 100' HD. cable winch mounted and good to go with title and license completed. I've already been to Calif. to winch a car out of a back yard and trailer it home the 1300 miles getting 17 mpg at the lower cost of diesel in complete comfort with no sway, no equalizer bars and enough experience to know that the center of weight of the car must be forward of the center of the axles.
