Subject: Intake manifold for 62 300h inline two fours

Hi:

Can any one give me the casting numbers or any other way to identify the
correct intake manifold for the 62 H, with inline two fours? I have the
carbs and the airfilter housings for the car but have not been able to
find
the correct manifold. I have found a couple of two four manifolds but
could
not determine if they were correct for the 62 413 engine or the 300
series.

Any help here would be appreciated.

Thanks

Harry

Hi Harry,

As per Galen Govier's book, it seems that the correct casting number for
the
300H inline dual-quad manifold is 2264877 (the factory part number would
be
1854817 . )

I would feel better if someone else verified this casting number - I am
just
going by a book.

See ya'll in Dayton !

Subject: 57-59 Chrysler convertible top hydraulic motors

Help..Can anyone help me with information or parts to restore my 59
Plymouth
convertible lift "Dura" brand hydraulic pump motor. The internal rotors
are
broken and if I can either get parts or a complete motor I will be back in

business. This is probably common with other 57-59 Chrysler
applications. On
another topic can anyone else with a 59 Plymouth convertible tell me the
color
of their top bows and the color of their top material. I am of the
impression
that a white top received white interior bows and a black cloth received
black
steel bows. A little survey of owners will help.

Thank you to all the replies for feedback on 300Ms. Based on what I've
read, they are a fairly reliable car, but do have some problem areas. To
note:

power window issues
factory installed tire faults
transmission computers
one transaxle failure
one A/C failure

Mileage seems to vary from 18 to 31mpg.

Thanks for the input! If I get one, I'll let the list know...it is a
letter car, after all.
