Having just been thru this myself, I doubt there is much difference as you

will find sources - like the one above - that claim that the 2444 and 2445

carbs were oferred in 1955 (late?) also.  An old Carter book I have lists 
the 2317 as being correct for the 1955 only - so who knows !

I'm GUESSING that the metering valves or adjustments for the secondaries 
might be a bit different.  But they should still mount and work fine on 
either engine.

It all depends on how picky you are about having everything original.

Also, if it turns out you have a spare 2317 kicking around, I would be 
interested.

I am looking for an excellent condition 1966 Chrysler 300 steering wheel
that is translucent white in color.  I will paint one I have a solid color
white if necessary, but I would rather have the original look.

Subject: '57-'58 Convt top frame

Good afternoon. Still cold in Atlanta. Yuck.

I'm hoping to find a convertible top frame header piece for my '57. This
is the structural frame piece at the front of the folding unit. The
latches and pins are mounted here, and it meets the windshield header.
Mine is toast. About a third of it has rotted away.
The book indicates the piece is common to 1957 & 1958 Chrysler, Desoto,
Dodge & Plymouth ragtops - and just maybe the same for '59. Maybe.

I'd also like to find at least one more latch, the hooks mounted on the
windshield header, the exterior A-pillar stainless on the passenger side,
and the top switch. Tall order I know. Condition's not important, as it's
likely better than what I have.
