Hi Richard,
Leave the sockets in place and have him plate with copper then mask
'em off for the
nickel and chrome. If that doesn't work I've got replacement sockets to
fit complete with
the wire pigtails.
I'm pleased to hear about the beer fridge!!
    Greg.

As some of you might know, I have been HUNTing for some WCFB carbs for
a long time.
Today at a local swap I saw a WCFB front carb from a 2x4 setup.
IT IS NOT ALL THERE!!!
But it does have the brass tag 2636. I have NOT looked this up
But I think its 57 Desoto, I know it is not 57 Chrysler.
The vender knows what he has, it is not cheeeep (in my opinion, But
I aint a gonna pay chebby vette nuts $$$ for mopar carbs!!!)

IF anyone is interested I can go into details privately.
I did not buy it but have the contact info.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I did finally get my C300's speedo
repaired and reinstalled over a week ago. I want to thank George Riehl
for
the info about Specmo on Woodward in Royal Oak. Got a couple of other
recommendations but this was far closer to my house than the others which
is
the main reason I used them. The car is still for sale and if I don't get
any positive responses from club members pretty soon I'll put it on the
nationwide market. If you have any questions send me an email.

Jerry Browarski

Hi Good People:

I just received Vol 1 ; Issue 1 of Chrysler's brand new Chrysler Owners
Magazine.
Inside on page 3 is a photo of a 300F and on page 72, the Motor Trend car
of
the Year, 300C.
The mag had a few good words to say about our "Beautiful Brutes" and the
traditions they uphold.

I looked this number up on a carb website and found out it is for the
following.

1957 DeSoto V8 345 (Rear of 2) Carter WCFB # 2636

I looked into the Chevy listing but could not find an application for
this
number in the Chevies. Anyway it looks like it may be only for the DeSoto.

I need some help, please. I have not heard from a soul re these clips.
Right now my 4-banger is hanging down the side of my door. Looks bad.
Must
be some clips out there! Please help. Thank you.
I did get a response for the inside door handle clip. It should be on the
way to me. Thanks, Jeff/Michael.

For any one who hasn't seen it there is a 57 300 C 1/64 model for sale by
Route 66 toy co. Look for it in the match box section. Trunk and hood
opens
sells for 4.99. I bought an extra if anyone wants one for that price plus
shipping. I found them at K Mart. Really nice detail. They also have a 70
plymouth fury,& dodge daytona but could not find those as yet. Will keep
looking. Chuck
