Found and recovered from Storage Purgatory an AFB Air Horn part (official term?) also called the Bowl cover. (NAKED, no parts attached.) well, does have the fuel inlet (filter?) screwed in It Looks bright and NEW, Bright and shiny, appears Never Used. (when have you seen a virgin one of these ?) The Only markings I found on it, a W, a 2, and 8822, these are cast and not stamped numbers. This is NOT the Carb application number This is the top plate for a AFB, there doesn't seem to be any visible clues that it had any Carter or Edelbrock labels ever affixed to it. It IS NOT provisioned for a Choke, therefor race or the non-choke carby for a 2x4 installation?? I suspect rather rare in the 'spare parts' cattygory This is the larger airhorn variety, NOT WCFB airhorn size (small). There were early AFB's that had the smaller WCFB airhorn size. This IS NOT one of those.
