Could it be deposits from the plastics in the car? They can give off
fumes, especially in the heat. Might need a petroleum based solvent first.

I am guessing it was from a leaking heater core from many years ago
that sprayed antifreeze droplets on the interior windows.
I have tried Windex with vinegar, but it just moves the stuff around
and does not remove it
Anything available that will do a nice cleaning job??
