I don't know how old the term may be, but, it could harken back to the days when the headlamps first retracted, exposing the headlamps, and with the movable panel-piece being called the 'door (as seen on Cords, etc.).I forget the OP on this thread, but the headlamp door is the flat panel-fascia trim piece that surrounds the headlamps (and sometimes the parking lamps).Headlamp bezels are the (round or rectangular) chrome/stainless/alloy pieces that actually attach (usually cosmetically, only) to the lens(es). I Have always thought the headlight surrounds just like tail lite and park lite surrounds were bezels. Never knew of that word till I got into old MoPars years ago Wonder why they differentiated them from the other items? That said I have found that all '55's had chrome headlight rims and '56's had painted headlight rims. The painted rim is not a chrome one just painted , it is made differently. This is just FYI for what it's worth. I'm a little suspicious of this one though, there are signs that it has had a quickie used-car-lot style paint job thrown on, as several other aspects of the car show wear around the edges that wasn't corrected. Both '56 Windsors I've owned had chrome headlight trim rings instead of partially painted like this one, so I wonder if they're trying to cover up pitting, etc. Bill& Kathi Parker, South Central Indiana...'49 Plymouth 2 door; '62 Plymouth Max Wedge; '64 Dart convertible; '65 Barracuda \6; '65 Imperial; '68 Barracuda FB 340-S; '69 Barracuda FB now 360; '70 Challenger now 440; '72 Cuda '340 ____________________________________ (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e11021.m45.l1123/7?euid=b0e699becdf24cbbb1b2027bf92265f2&loc=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=28085913 1616&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123) _#'S MATCHING 331 WEDGE, PS, PB, HIDDEN CD PLAYER, GREEN OVER CLOUD WHITE, NICE!_ (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e11021.m45.l1123/7?euid=b0e699becdf24cbbb1b2027bf92265f2&loc=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2 80859131616&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123) $14,995.00 Shipping: Not Specified End time: Apr-13-12 00:00:00 PDT ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to _http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1_ (http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1) ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to _http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1_ (http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1) ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to _http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1_ (http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1) ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to _http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1_ (http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1) ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to _http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1_ (http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1) ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1 ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1
