And, of course, if/when you might install a Pertronix electronic
ignition system,
to ensure as hot of a spark as possible, they recommend that NO ballast
resistor
be installed (although you can leave the OEM-guy still residing next to
the coil; just

Concerning the ballast resistor on our cars,,,,,,,,,,, The service manual states about .7 ohm Most old mopar units that I measured are about 1 ohm What would be the harm,,if any,,in using a .2 ohm or a 2 ohm resisterWould the points OR coil OR operation really be effected in going that much higher or lower in resistance??For what its worth , CHEBBIES starting circuit had NO resister and would run on a 2 ohm unit.THANKS TO ALL ED ECKERSON ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1 ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1
