Not really; the quality of the sorta-semi yellow paint was 
crappy/thin----I can send you a pic, if you don't recall
my initial-pics that I sent to the List, showing  how the caps looked.

Besides the crummy paint-job, the caps also had "DELCO" in raised 
letters on them.

The underside of the Tar Topper is flush, confirming that the raised 
letters are solid-items, and not vac-u-formed
protrusions.

The plastic-substance is thin, but tough.

I initially tried using a medium file to see how well the letters would 
grind-off.

The letters didn't like the file, so I introduced the Tar Topper to Mr. 
Bench-Grinder, which was able to get the
"Delcos" to go bye-bye.

Some primer, to smooth out the abrasions, finish-sanding, a lot of 
masking-off work, and two minutes of spray painting, and VOILA!

Talk about anal; though: I think I'll go clear-coat the green caps, now 
that the paint has set up fully!
