Hey, Jim; I think you're PM'ing me, here, right?? EH; I'll send this to the List, too. Anyhoo, I DID take pic(s) of the Dodge body (as well as the headliner-bows). The bodies on both cars are complete & mind-bogglingly/jaw-droppingly straight and rust (what's THAT??) free..... Last year, I remarked that there is a 56 PLY "El Camino"/Dodge Sweptwing-truck " car body, @ Desert Valley, & ALL the 'tough/unique' body-parts/panels are "there" !!! Of course, it needs EVERYTHING accoutrement-wize, but, if a person had an operable 4-dr sedan, that car could be sacrificed to create a marvelous vehicle! It was interesting to see the AMOUNT of roof insullation/batting that was put 'into/onto' a stationwagon. A 56 Desoto had a dash-mounted clock assembly. Hidden Valley is re-locating ALL its cars, so only a tiny fraction of them were 'viewable', and we "couldn't" go to their former yard, to re-visit those cars. Does anyone know what the 56 Golden Lancer (it's MAYBE a D500; almost certainly-not a Super-D) may have sold-for? It appears that its last-year's buyer (for around 230K?) was attempting to "turn" it, at B-J, this year. ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1 |
