Tim is absolutely correct: (automotive) mythology tends to be self-propagating ; like Babe Riuth's "called" home run, or "everyone'" claiming to have been @ a 'famous' event, etcetcetcvetc...and builds upon itself, because it is "easy" or "nice" or "important" to believe. Mythology runs into problems, when confronted with science (but,, it's still, fun to believe.) Unfortunately, as in/with these car reviewers, they owe an obligation to the present, & future viewers of their programs NOT to present their un-researched opinions, or to parrot PREVIOUS commentators/"reporters", thereby perpetuating un/half - truths, and thereby CREATING mythology, "because" somebody "heard" somebody say something----opinions/hopes become "truths".
