Re: [FWDLK] Tulsa '07

Not to mention the HUNDREDS of other '57 Plymouths which will probably be descending on the area for the event.  I plan on bringing out my '57 Fury, regardless of whether or not one of the big Plymouth or Golden Fin clubs have a simultaneous event.  I'm sure many others will too. . .though I haven't yet decided if I'm going to drive it all the way from Oregon or trailer it.  It's no trailer queen, but that's an awfully long drive for an all original Fury.  Either way I've already been greatly anticipating this ever since I first heard about the time capsule about ten years ago. . . .

Regardless what comes out of this vault, wether it is a well preserved relic, or a pile of rust,  just the off the wall uniqueness ( craziness!) of this event will make it something worth attending and more than worth following. You may find better cars in the junkyard but even if its' a pile of rust it will probably bring big bucks at auction just on noteriety alone. Interest in this event is growing by leaps and bounds, can further interest and appreciation of our Forward Look cars be far behind ? Isn't it about time that every time  a "57 car is mentioned people don't automatically think Chevy? Lets all have some fun here! Dick W.

This is entombed in a cement vault with no ventilation, right?  Next to a busy street where the vibration and settling may have cracked the concrete.

You'd probably find a better car by going to a wrecking yard.

IMHO it's going to be a dark day and the public is going to be laughing about this folly for a long long time.

I've got about the same amount. It's funny I stumbled on an old magazine article at a car show 20 years ago about this car,I figured I'd be one of the only "car people" there to see this thing in 2007 when they dug it up.How times have changed, very few people gave a damn about '57 Plymouths back then, now I think we are catching up to the '57 Chevies in popularity. I guess my chances of buying this car when it's out of it's hole are pretty slim now.
