Please someone correct me on this if  I am wrong but I'm pretty sure no Mopars from our era came with the mirrors mounted from the factory. Even a car that was ordered with mirrors came off the truck with the mirrors in the trunk and they were mounted at the new car prep and check. Although they came with templates there were always those techs that didn't use them 'cause they knew "where they went" and tossed out the templates. this accounts for the varied placement we see on our cars and demonstrates the value of the templates John has made available. There are templates that show you where the fender mirrors are supposed to be located so you can see if there is anything behind you or in the lane next to you.  I have a bunch of them for '56, '57' and '58 Plymouths, Chryslers and Dodges.  They're hard to come by as they were used by the mechanics at the new car dealer and discarded after the mirror was put on.  I found them in my brother in laws' tool box.  He was a service manager for a Chrysler/Plymouth dealer in the 50's.  I may be able to copy them if needs anyone needs one.
