got is a copy of the punch card with a sheet attached decoding some of =
the info on the card, such as: Dealer Code - 37395 - (dealers name - =
Lunderville & Nuttall, Los Banos, CA) other info - Date built - Nov 16, =
1958 - color, trim, body type, and options. The dealer name and =
location was especially interesting to me because I had always thought =
my car was originally a Texas car but turns out to be a California car. =

Paul has a good point here. Most states keep archives of title records. =
For those who don't know, I work at DMV in Oregon. If a person wanted =
to know the ownership history of a vehicle titled in Oregon, they could =
order what we call a "title history". It would show which dealers had =
the car during it's history in Oregon. Due to privacy laws, names and =
addresses of individual people would be excluded. Perhaps your state's =
DMV has something similar?

I purchased a title history on my '57 Fury. It came to Oregon from =
Sparks, NV in 1967. I contacted Nevada DMV to see how much further back =
they could go, but unfortunately Nevada is one of the states that =
doesn't archive this stuff. Anyway, the interesting thing is that I was =
able to find out that my Fury changed titles about 9 times between 1967 =
and 1972, and all the owners were 18-25 year old males . . . so I'm sure =
the car saw it's share of races! The car was abandoned in 1972, then =
mysteriously sold to the father of who I got it from in 1974. I have a =
copy of the Bill of Sale from the City of Eugene, OR to the buyer - they =
sold the car for $10 !!! Then my Fury sat and rusted until I came along =
in 1989.

Another note for Oregon forwardlookers: A fire at the state archives in =
the mid sixties destroyed all records prior to 1965 or so. You know =
what THAT means . . . sorry.

Yes I took in the show and it happens to be my car! I've been reading this
list and making occasional comments over the last 4 years.
I'm a member of the Northern Mopars www.mopars.org and my cars website with
pictures is www.projectplato.com/cars/bigredhome.html
Its a 60 Dodge, not a 59 as stated and its great fun.

Anyone hit this show? Someone was mentioning a neat car they saw over on a
Pontiac list I am on... as follows:

Probably for the cool factor. At the Mopar show and shine last weekend here
in
Calgary, Alberta, Canada, there were the normal 440 cid, 340s and Hemis but
the car that caught everyone's eye was the 59 Dodge with the supercharged,
EFI and distributerless slant six!

The guy added the EFI and supercharger off of a 3.8L thunderbird and the
distributer less ignition off a late model Chevy. I wish that I had taken
pictures, it was very well done and looked factory stock - no hack job!

The slant six worked well because it has lots of room to add the
supercharger
without modding the hood. Very nice.

Now that sure beats the old SBC for coolness

Hey Everyone -

There's an all Mopar show tomorrow at the Quality Inn on Rt 83 in Vernon,
CT. In the past, there's always been a good selection of FL Mopars. One
year, there were two 58 Dodge Regal Lancers ! A number of cars come down
from Mass and even New Hampshire. Hope y'all can come out...

Hi all. Just wanted to let you know that I took over 200 pics at this =
year's Woodward Dream Cruise and published them on my Yahoo space. Not =
sure exactly how to access it 'cuz I always go through my Prodigy =
website so here's what to do. Go to http://pages.prodigy.net/mopar-man/ =
and when that page opens you'll see a line of boxes near the top. Click =
on the box that says "Links" and when that opens, click on the last line =
that says "More pics I've taken". That'll get you to my Yahoo pages. =
You'll see a few boxes on that page. Click on the one that starts out =
"2004 Woo.." and that'll get you to the recent pics. Some of the pics =
won't be the clearest since several were taken at pretty long distances =
and a few were taken of cars that blew past me at pretty high speeds but =
the majority of the pics are quite sharp considering that my digital cam =
is more than 4 years old and out of date. When you click on the pic in =
the box, it'll open in full size and you should be able to figure out =
how to access the following pics. You'll also have the option of having =
the pics pop up automatically. If that's the option you choose, click =
on the underlined word that says "Slideshow". It's above the pics of =
the albums on the right. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Mike,

I don't know for sure if I can answer your question or not. I am sure
that you will get a more complete answer from the list, however, here
is what I know about Dodge trim for 1956. I am sure that 1955 would be
similar. The Dodges for 55 and 56 came in three different models.
The Custom Royal was top of the line trim, the Royal was middle of the
line trim, and the Coronet was the bottom of the line trim. That being
said, however, the Custom Royal and the Coronet also had a convertible
version. The Royal did not come in a convertible. The Lancer was
added to all three trim levels to denote a hardtop. The hardtop was
available in all three models (i.e. Custom Royal Lancer, Royal Lancer,
and Coronet Lancer) The six cylinder models did not include the v trim
on the hood (denotes V8). It stands to reason that since your car is a
middle of the trim line model (like mine is), your car might not have
come with the chrome fin.

P.S. They also had two wagon models in 1955 and 1956. The Sierra and
the Suburban.

Let me know if you have other questions. I would be happy to reply.

List, I am sending this email again because the first one looked like
it got rejected. My appologies if this gets sent through twice.

List;

A while ago someone emailed the list a link to a website that had paint
color combinations for our cars. If someone still has that link,
could they please forward it to me?

Thanks in advance.
