Does anyone know what emblem (appearance? and part no.?) goes on the D pillar of a 1958 New Yorker Wagon? The parts book tells us that the 58 NY Wagon has a "Roof Pnl. Side Mldg. & Med." with part no. 1777 998 (right) and 1777 999 (left), but there does not appear to be any indication of the part no. for the medallion itself. I haven't discovered any source, yet, to clearly indicate which medallion should be there, or what, exactly, it should look like. There is a plethora of other medallions gracing these cars: The grille medallion for a 1958 New Yorker, Saratoga or Windsor is part no. 1754 806, while the 300D is part no. 1686 604. The New Yorker side emblem (in the "Big C") on the rear door of a 4-door, a wagon, or the rear quarter of a two-door is part no. 1810 595. The Saratoga side emblem, on the rear quarter, approximately directly above the forward-most part of the rear bumper wrap-around, is part no. 1810 420 "W/O Spec Mldgs" or 1810 421 "with Spec. Mldgs". The Windsor side emblem on the rear door of a 4-door, or a 2-door "special club coupe" is part no. 1810 441. The New Yorker, Saratoga or Windsor glove box door medallion is part no. 1772 295, while the LC3-S (which I presume is the 300D?) has medallion part no. 1686 604 gracing its glove box door (on a medallion and base assembly which has part no. 1772 480). >From the simple fact that Chrysler seemed to spare no expense in producing a different medallion for every place and purpose, it seems fair to guess that the "Roof Pnl. Side Mldg. & Med." might very well be different from any of the other plastic medallions in use in 1958. But, does anyone know for certain, or have any photos of that particular medallion on an original car?
