Most Mercedes, Porsche, BMW, Audi, VW, etc. currently use the Bosch HFM/SFI systems, or it's derivitives. These use an air mass meter, coolant temp sensors, engine speed inputs, etc. to control injection, spark timing, emissions,etc. Pretty cool stuff, but "check engine" lights are the bain of the technicians (like me). Well, just my two cents--- Yes, I preferr the old cars, a lot easier to fix "in a pinch", and more Fun! Zach----------
