I understand that the Forwardlook Mopars (in this case I am talking about a '57 Coronet, 325 Poly with a Powerflite transmission) have the emergency brake on the transmission. I think mine is sticking. I replaced the other brakes with new shoes and they are not wet or sticking, but the car will not roll on its own and the engine, when engaged, has to rev up until it sort of "breaks free". If the car is slowly moving, and the Neutral button is pushed, the car "brakes". The car sat for quite some time and the "tramsmission E-Brake" is something new for me. What does it look like? How do I adjust or replace it? Do I need to drop the drive shaft or anything to get to it? HELP!!! Thanks for your expertise.
