The filter on the end of the fuel tank pickup is still available from your local Mopar dealer. It is called a "fuel inlet strainer" and is Chrysler #(P) 1670694. The pickup/ gauge to tank gasket is also still available as #(P) 1948757. Both are inexpensive. Both were used many years by Mopar throughout its lines. The retainer circlip thingy is also available, but I'm not sure of the part number. Also, the tube to tank seal is a simple o-ring. Take it to a good auto parts store and you should be able to match it up. Should run about a buck. krateparts@xxxxxxx also adds "I haven't tried it, but a voyager mini van looks to be the same for the filler tube to tank seal." -Dave -----Original Message----- From: Reggie Knowlton [mailto:Reggie_Knowlton@xxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, August 22, 2002 11:52 AM To: L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [FWDLK] '57 DeSoto gas tank This gent is in luck. I currently have the gas tank pulled from my 57 DeSoto. There is an O-ring seal at the filler neck opening on the gas tank. I'm at work but I will take some digital pictures tonight and email them to the list and to the other fella. I pulled my tank because the fuel guage sending unit wasn't working and at the same time I've purchased the gas tank sealer kit from Eastwood to stop the rust in it and as a preventive maintenance measure. I'll post first thing tomorrow morning around 7ish. Regards, Reggie -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Need an answer fast?
