This comes to mind. Did Chrysler ever use "hidden VINs" like Ford and GM? I had a 59 Ford once, and the hidden VIN was on the frame rail, and on many GM cars that is the case, and on both I've seen it hidden beneath permanent parts of the body. I guess if your are crafty enough to swap VIN tags you would be crafty enough to do something with a hidden VIN. Though, I've run across few people who know about the hidden numbers. The bottom line here is, know what you are buying, do your homework. Mike -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Need an answer fast?
