Re: [FWDLK] Purist Question to ponder!!

You don't have to take the body off to inspect the radiator support,
or the area around the trunk lip, for example.  If numbers don't match,
you know it isn't a survivor, and might be very reworked.  An owner
who won't let you look around the vehicle is an owner with something
to hide.  Maybe not at a show, but if you are at a purchase inspection
and you can't look... then you walk away with one hand over the wallet.
Most Mopar owners I have known are straight guys who will tell you
what is repaired and/or replaced on their cars at sale time.  At the
shows, people can get very guarded.

I agree that there are numbers on the frame of the Forward Look vehicles and a few other places hidden by the body of almost all vehicles and you can identify what model the car is or was when it was manufactured.  But if I question you about the car are you going to let me take the body off your vehicle so I can make sure that the car is what it supposed to be?  I don't think so.  If the guy wondering if your car is real or a clone is that consumed then you'd better get yourself and your car out of there in a hurry.  All I'm saying is it's difficult to dispute the model of the car with an owner who says it is what it is.  That's all.
