Believe the latest thinking on POR15 is that you dust the base coat with any
old aerosol primer just as it starts to get hard.  This leaves an attaching
base for your coloring coats of something else.  Think the owners manual has
been changed to indicate this, at least from one seller I found at a swap
meet.  POR15 is great stuff.  A buddy had some leaking magnesium wheels from
the sixties that would not hold air with tubless tires due to porosity.  I
suggested POR15 applied on the inside, he did, no leaks now for 6 months.
