Don, Some of the the best cars I've ever owned were 4 doors. I agree with you that the extra doors don't necessarily make a car ugly. It seems to me there could be two cars side-by-side, one a "highly sought after collector" car, the other a "common old car", and the best way to decide which car is better is to listen to the attitude of the owner for a few minutes. Sometimes they bring out the ugly much more than the car does. Some of my fondest memories, and worst moments as well, came from my first car, a '64 Chev Impala 4door, with power everything, lots & lots of miles, and a big heavy steel frame that saved my life and that of my family when a 1 ton gas truck crossed the center line and hit me head-on almost 10 years ago (12-27-89).
