Hello, I have been reading your Forwardlook mail for aprox. a month and nothing I`ve read deals with my particular problem. I have recently purchased a 58 Dodge Regent 2 door hardtop. It has an origional L head 6 cyl. and 2 speed PowerFlyte trans. Someone told me that my rearend is an 8and 3/4 because the bellhousing is perfectly shaped like half a ball. I dont know. I have no intention of keeping the drive train because of hard to find expensive parts. I dont have a huge amount of time or money. On line I have met a gentleman who explained to me in detail how to put Aspen/Volare spindles on for front disks. You have to heat and bend the steering knuckle in 3/4" aprox.depending on tire selection. What I would like to know is if anyone has changed frame or has found a front clip which easily ( measurement wise) fits onto frame. I dont care if its made by International as long as it fits . I just want to get those fins on the road. Thanx John Piva Georgetown Ont Canada |
