Attention non-purists, mild customizers and
anybody who has added an authentic factory option to their own car, either
proudly or under cover of night:
The subject car
is a 1959 Plymouth. It did not come with a/c. I have a factory a/c unit but it
doesnt fit for the following reasons: On the engine side of the firewall
there is a box-like extension coming off the heater recess. Should I simply cut
this off? And on the passenger side of the firewall, there is
a flange of metal to which I think the fresh-air door attaches. Do I cut
this off too? I will eventually figure this out on my own but it takes
free time of which I don't have much at the moment.
(My 20-month old is repotting the plants as I
