During a restoration of a '64K ram car, we ran into this issue as we were
returning the brake system to its original configuration with a non power
brake master cyl mounted to a reinforcing plate on the firewall. We removed
the non-original power brake booster from its reinforcing plate and
attempted to reuse the power brake master cylinder. The bolt circle is
different between the two MC's and requires the correct reinforcing plate
for a non power brake MC. It is absolutely necessary to remove a small
check valve from the master cylinder before connecting it to the remote p/b
booster in the left fenderwell. The check valve is there to hold some
pressure on the booster was relocated as there was not enough room for it on
the firewall if the ram induction system was installed. The valve in the
firewall-mounted MC must be removed as it is. really, just a device to
maintain a residual hydraulic system on the drum brake shoes and will
prevent the power brake booster cylinder from releasing.

For the record the one in trouble was Dean Kruse. He has had multiple
issues and ultimately was stripped of his auction license. There are many
in the Kruse family and all are not bad. In fact most are fine people.
