The other night I saw this on cable,
made in 1974 in Australia "The Car That Ate Paris" ... a horror film where
the town conspires to cause outsiders to crash their cars and they then both rob
the people and salvage their cars, while a mad doctor performs lobotomy-like
experiments on the people that make it to the hospital.
Although most of the vehicles are
Australian or European - various vintage Holdens, a Mini-Cooper, and others
- the police car is a RHD '59 Chevy, and the mayor's car is a RHD '58
DeSoto Firesweep sedan. Of course by the end of the movie they smash
hell out of the back of it, but it's another movie with a Forward Look car
prominently featured. I also noticed a couple Mopars in scenes of the
local junkyard; a mid-50s DeSoto Ute (one of those with the 54 Plymouth body
shell) was most obvious.
I saw it on IFC, I don't know what
the availability of it is but I suppose a check of IMDB would tell
you.
