i've now had 3 54 desotos with powerflite- all have the distinctive whine,
as do 3 57 powerflite cars, 2 56's, and several 58's.... its in the
design.
its close to the same sound as mentioned on GMs powerglide, turboglide, and
variable-pitch dynaflows [pre-58]
