My previous 2 57 Dodges w/Powerflites whined in nuetral.
So do the GM variant the Powerglide. I was told it's the pump design. Can anyone
confirm or correct this?

Subject: [FWDLK] Powerflite whine
Hi, everyone - I have a '56 New Yorker with a Powerflite that
whines when in neutral. It's ahigh pitched, steady "singing " sound. The
tranny was rebuilt several years ago, but has almost no miles on it. It's the
second '56 I have owned that made the same sound. Does anyone know of a
possible cause? Is this a common
problem?
