Re: [FWDLK] Interior for 1956 Chrysler New Yorker

Hi, Eric; "You get what you pay for", but, coincidentally, my friend,
Ron Mog, whom I've known for many years, has a 2-tone 1956 NY'er 4-dr
sedan.

For our pilgrimage to Tulsa, this year, Ron completed a restoration of
his car, which included buying a full set of interior cloths from S.M.S.
.

He then had a local shop create/fit the material with foam padding, to
his seats.

The S.M.S. material is GORGEOUS, and the car gets a lot of compliments.

Ron was able to (re-)use his car's OEM headliner.

Ron is confuser-illiterate, and has no way to obtain fake (I mean:
digital) photos of anything.

If you want to call him, he lives in CA, and is home most all-day, as he
is retired: 760-247-4204 .

S.M.S. should have full records on what Ron bought, and its cost..

Hello everyone!

I haven’t been much of a contributor to the Forward Look mailing list but have been enjoying reading the digest updates for many years now.

My career has brought me to Queensland, Australia and I brought my 1956 New Yorker 4 door sedan with me.  If I had more time before I left, I would have replaced the rear quarter panels, rocker panels and interior but now that I am here…

I am looking for a blue upholstery kit for the bench seats on the car.  Judging by how expensive many things are here down under, it seems that I would be better off ordering seat covers from an outfit in the US and having them shipped to Australia.  Does anyone on the list have any suggestions for shops to contact regarding purchasing a seat cover kit for the car?  I would prefer original styled material from a shop that has experience with forward look cars so that I would not have to strip my interior and send it to them for sizing/patterns.  Thoughts?

Thanks for your help,

Eric Skowron
