I haven’t been much of a contributor to the Forward
Look mailing list but have been enjoying reading the digest updates for many
years now.
My career has brought me to Queensland,
Australia
and I brought my 1956 New Yorker 4 door sedan with me. If I had more time
before I left, I would have replaced the rear quarter panels, rocker panels and
interior but now that I am here…
I am looking for a blue upholstery kit for the bench seats
on the car. Judging by how expensive many things are here down under, it
seems that I would be better off ordering seat covers from an outfit in the US and having them shipped to Australia. Does anyone on the
list have any suggestions for shops to contact regarding purchasing a seat
cover kit for the car? I would prefer original styled material from a
shop that has experience with forward look cars so that I would not have to
strip my interior and send it to them for sizing/patterns. Thoughts?
