Re: [FWDLK] 56 Dodge Factory Aluminum Intake

as for heat crossovers.... i have to say they arent as important as some say, exc for the operation of a choke stove if equipped or if your hot air loop enters the crossover...

think about it... when you start the car in the dead cold of the winter, 1st thing in the morning, the engine, intake, crossflow, carb etc... are all cold, even with a functioning exh choker to force one bank of exh through the intake, it still takes a good couple of minutes to bring the intake area up to temp..  i usually block the crossflow with sheetmetal inserts from one side just to help warm weather performance, and really dont have cold driving issues since i either run an electric choke or manual on some cars for other applicable reasons.

so if anyone feels like you should steer clear of an intake due to a lack of crossflow, lower your inhibitions and buy it...  i used to daily drive a 70 judge back in h.s. with a victor pontiac intake... in snow, M22, 4.56s, the whole nine... just because it was fun... and it warmed up ... well in about 10 min or so before leaving on the days i wasnt driving a finned mopar or my fairlane at the time.
