Hi all:
In addition to the tails, dice, fender skirts and Portawall fad, I placed cement blocks in the trunk of my 1956 Dodge D-500 in winter AND installed a sand dispensing system in the trunk to dispense sand on the rear wheels on icy roads or when I got stuck. It really worked. I was young and wild then and did not want to lose any race with my D-500, summer or winter. I purchased it new in June of 1956 and until I went into the Air Force in May of 1957, I never lost a race. Blew a few head gaskets along the way but life was fun then.
