My 53 Plymouth Cranbrook had Porta Walls too, which helped defect
attention from its poverty hubcaps and the rust along the rocker panels.
I also had a green plastic "suicide knob" on the steering wheel with a
hula girl printed on it.  It kept getting hung up on my shirt sleeve so
I had to get rid of it.  :(

I had the Porta Walls (white wall inserts from Western Auto)  on my
first 
car--a 1937 Plymouth 4 door sedan I bought for $35.00---and it ran well.
