[FWDLK] 1959 383 engine with dual 4-barrel carbs

I have a friend with a 1959 383 engine with dual four barrel carbs.  Engine stampings include MR383, with 7078 below MR383.  Do the numerals 7078 mean anything or are they just production sequence numbers?   What would this engine have been in -- a Desoto Adventurer or Dodge D500?  Thanks, Jim
