Larry; Turn the engine over until the timing mark comes up. The rotor will be pointing to #1 (towards the front of the engine) unless it's 180° out. In that case, turn it 1 more revolution to bring the mark up again. Remember the motor turns over 2 times for each time the dist goes around. My problem now that the car is here I see that the former owner removed all the plug wires. I installed a new cap, rotor, points, condensor, plugs and I managed to find some plug wires (suprisingly difficult!). My problem is that I know the firing order, I know the rotation but I don't know where plug wire lead one goes. Can somebody take a look at their running 361, 383, 413 motor and tell me where these wires go. Please make sure there is a landmark on the distributor like the lead to the coil or the front cap clip? ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1
