A chain wrench (sears sells them ($25 range)) works wonders, though you will need to put an old piece of belt between the pulley and the wrench, so as not to score the pulley, and probably have someone hold the wrench so it won't turn while you loosen the bolt. Good luck,

Hi all!
I'm in the process of removing the front of my engine, with the intent of exposing and inspecting the timing chain. I'm trying to remove the crankshaft bolt, but I'm having a hard time keeping the pulley wheel from moving when I put torque on the bolt. Any suggestions?
