I met an-otherwize knowledgable FWDLK'er, who back-yard-mechanic'ed many of our cars in the 50's/60's. Anyway, he 'swore' that he owned a 1960 PLY "ex-CHP" (CA Hiway Patrol) pursuiter, for a while, and that that car had a fender-emblem that 'said': "Golden Eagle". I asked him if he didn't "mean": Golden Commando, & he said 'no', he knew about the G.C.'s, & his patrol car had "G.- E." on its emblem. So: 1. Did CA (or ANY states?) use 1960 Ply's for hiway patrol duty. 2. Did Ply 'badge' their cars : " Golden Eagle"? I think that the cars might have had a "G.-C." emblem, but I've never heard of "G.-E" , before. Neil Vedder
