I liked the story Wayne...kind
of like the insurance commercial with the buck on the roadway,
warning the doe and fawn to watch out for people, because if you see one
there are usually more!
I never swerve to
avoid any animal in the road unless I am absolutely sure I won't hit something
else, loose control, go in the ditch...etc. I preach to my kids...no
animal is as hard as a tree! (pigs come close) "Most"
animals will not cause your car to roll, as might a ditch or
culvert. I just say apply your brakes gently but firmly and stay as
straight as you can. I have
insurance...I haven't heard of a road kill that did!
One time many years ago I was
traveling about 50 - 55 mph on my way home from work when a young pup (yes, I
normally would call it an S--) ran out in front of my car. I
moved as far over in the lane as I could to avoid it, only to hit the critter
anyhow. The worst thing came next... The dizzy lady coming toward me
in the other lane, saw the dog run in front of me. When she realized I was
going to run over the dog, she let go of the steering wheel with both hands and
covered her face. I got past her, and watched as she drove into the
ditch! DUH!
To keep this list
related... I would however, try much harder to avoid say...something
with fins!
Stay out of my way you fuzzy
little tree rat! John in WI
ps: glad to see you chose Plymouth for the
story!

Subject: [FWDLK] Not As Easy As It
Looks
A man was trying to cross the street. As he stepped off the curb a
Plymouth came screaming ...
The squirrel said to the man says, "See, it's not as easy as it
looks, is it?"
