I do believe that it is fully possible that some '57-58 Imperials came out of the factory with dual quads. I've heard of several over the years. Also, it was possible to order a Chrysler 300 in these same years with the equivalent of the single 4bbl Imperial engine. A handful of those were produced. Then also, there were a fair number of '57-58 New Yorkers built with the dual quads. Imperials or NYers with the dual quads would NOT have received the solid lifters or the camshaft of the Chrysler 300s. Just have to keep in mind that there was a great deal more flexibility on the assembly line back in those days. I 'hope' that this Kruse auction 'site' (from Indiana, per a previous message to the List) is able to be forwarded to y'all. The 58 Custom "Royale" D500 has the rare "HEMI" option, too. Tons of fun, those vehicle-descriptions! caveat emptor, Neil Vedder -------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------ http://www.kruse.com/auctions/detail.asp?CONSIGN=537&MAKE=CHRYSLER&A UC_CODE=AUBSPR03&AUC_BREAD=Auburn%20Spring%202003&SEARCH_NAME=CHRYSL ER&PAGE=1 -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- 2003 Calendar voting results and ordering information is online!
