Greg, There were many many markings on the cars having to do with inspections. Some of them were done with paint and rubber stamps. Many were done with various colors of grease pens (like today's "china markers" at hobby / craft stores). Something on the radiator is quite unusual to see but is very likely an inspection mark. Of course on a radiator, any grease pen mark is going to melt away the first several of times the car is run up to temperature. These were all done by hand at the factory so they would vary considerably from person to person, etc. If you do decide to put one on your car, you'll have to do it with paint. All grease pen marks I have seen on Mopars of this era were either white or yellow.
