Dave I think you have to tear down the trans before you can figure out what kit has to be used. I farmed my trans out to a local guy, (it cost about $1200 to redo), last summer. I bought a kit that I thought would do the job and found out when the trans was broken down that I needed a different kit. The first kit cost about $180 and there weren't enough parts in it. The shop bought a kit that was called a Banner Kit, ($379.48 and I think it was a Fatsco kit), that was the correct kit. They also had to by a kick down band, a filter? and a low/rev band, which didn't come in the kit. There were parts left over. Because the first kit was opened by the repair shop I had a hard time returning it. Luckily the guy took it back. So you have to be careful. Hope this helps. John Paxos |
