John, I think it was said someplace earlier that the problem is that the 62 - 64 were pushbutton shifted and the 65 was lever shifted, even though both used a cable. The 65 had a stronger detent spring and a pushbutton would not have enough "push" force on the cable to overcome the detent spring.
