I took digital photos of the '60 DeSoto convertible that was sold at the 2001 Barrett-Jackson auction. Consignor was a very large collection in Albuquerque, as I recall, and he probably had 75 cars, mostly nice originals for sale there. I had seen this same DS in Los Angeles numerous years ago (mid '80s?) at a WPC swap meet and it had just been completed (or nearly so) at the time. It is a light metallic blue. I remember speaking to the owner at the WPC meet who said he had used a DeSoto coupe and the mechanism, etc. from a '60 Chrysler Windsor convertible to build the car. The car sold at a fair price for its very slightly deteriorated condition at the '01 BJ auction.
