If you have a secure storage area without kids and pets, I prefer to put the Dcon under or near the car on the outside. Mice go to the food, and if it's outside the car they will exit the car before they drop dead. Better than having a few dead mice under the rear seat for a few years. One storage garage I used for 12 years. The Dcon always got eaten, but never found a mouse in the car. Also, use enough Dcon so that it is never totally consumed. If they don't take the bait, you don't have a rodent problem. If they do, give them some more! Put it where you can easily monitor it, but pets and kids can't get into it. I lock my stored vehicles and leave the bait tray on the floor under the dash. When I took my 63 Fury to the drag strip on opening day last year, a dead mouse fell out when the tech inspector opened the passenger door.
