Every time I touch the brakes they lock up. It feels as if I've hit a
brick wall even wth the lightest touch. Here's what I've done so far:
New brake cylinders, inspected the shoes ( they look new) inspected the
drums ( they look freshly turned ) Lubricated all the contact points
between the shoes, backing plates and carrier assembly, all the brake
lines look new, and I took the master cylinder apart and it too looks
like it has just been rebuilt. I've had this car for about seven months
and I purchased it from someone that was restoring it (a mechanic
familiar with these cars). The return springs looked good ( no gaps
between coils when removed from the car ).Are these springs still
available? If so where? I adjusted the brakes according to the FSM.
This has been an ongoing situation and I've posted this problem here
before, now it is a priority as it's the only thing keeping me from
driving this car.
