Dear Forward lookers,
About two weeks ago, I asked if anybody knew the option breakdown for '58
Plymouths. Well, it seems I was not aware that it was featured in the June
1994 issue of Collectible Automobile, an issue I cherish and read often for
its article on '57-'59 Plymouths. After reading it about 20 times it finally
appeared to me !! So for the sake of answering my own question, here is the
options breakdown for '57-'59 Plymouths :
1957 1958 1959
---- ---- ----
Manual transmission 218,593 131,884 107,609
Overdrive 10,772 7,007 9,913
Powerflite 370,646 177,813 173,090
Torqueflite 129,358 125,095 134,471
Power steering 114,289 135,517 168,631
Power brakes 69,024 63,276 66,236
Air conditionning 8,541 8,501 10,261
Swivel seats - - 34,269
Also, the article has a total breakdown of the '57-'59 Plymouths by model
and by engine (V-8 or L-6). For example, my question regarding the '58
Belvedere Sport Coupe is answered by 29,444 with V-8 and 1,203 with L-6.
Interestingly, it makes the 6-cylinder engine '58 Belvedere Sport Coupe the
rarest one ! Makes the one I found in Belgium even rarer as an import model
!!
Anyway, sorry to be so long with all those numbers ... See ya later.

Coupe
PS : Does anyone has any info or pics other that what's usually found about
that '57 Belvedere Sport Coupe buried in Tulsa,OK ?
