Hi all,
This weekend I'll be taking Mr. Finzzz (you
know, my '57 Fury) to my first ever snooty car show. It's Sunday July 16,
the Forest Grove Concours d'Elegeance. Hope I spelled that
right!
Anyway, I have no unrealistic visions of
winning best of show or having a 100 point car, but I just want to see how well
(or, I guess, how poorly) my restoration does under close scrutiny. So I'm
open to any suggestions any of you may have on tips for displaying at such a
show, maybe you know some little details they look for that I wouldn't think of,
or maybe you have ideas for a display.
I'd also like to invite anyone finding
themselves in the Portland, OR area (Forest Grove is just outside Portland) to
attend the show, and if you do attend, please visit me and my car. We've
been placed in class I, which is 1950-59 Chrysler products (kind of an awkward
beginning and end dates but that's what they did). Fair warning though, I
think they charge spectators $10 a pop just to get in.
