hello all, now that the 57 is now back on the road again, i face yet another obstacle: getting some traction. this is due to the fact that the original rears are a little too wide for the body. a B body rear with relocated perches will allow a 10" tire to fit between the leaves + the well, but to get what i need i want to use an A body 8-3/4 housing- but this requires cutting out + boxing th frame to locate the spring eye inside the frame rail- looks very feasible and will probably do it- just curious if anyone else toyed with the idea. the stock housing has late c body flanged axles, 3.91 auburn gears + pro carrier- with 275-60 15's out back, i can keep it planted till about 1/2 throttle. need to fit about 11" DOT tire to motivate properly. but even with wheel spin it whacks the control arms to their snubbers! the springs should hold up ok, upper leaves are original, the other 5 are B body super stocks i transplanted. any input appreciated. jim
