[FWDLK] MTBE Fuel System Degradation

Dear Roger,

        Good answer to Roy, and you couldn't have said it any better when you
said your car is susceptible to the ravages of MTBE. By the way, though
there is a fuel line material available, which is supposed to be immune
to MTBE degradation, your vehicle's Carburetor, and other fuel system
components, are still vulnerable to MTBE related damage. The stuff will
attack the plastics used in many carburetors, along with any aluminum
components, not to mention fuel pump diaphrams.
