Re: IML: scames

Pete and group,
No, I am afraid that probably all who have posted soemthing for sale for any length of time get e-mails from scammers.  Since putting my 53 up for sale at this site and on Ebay I have had many, many hits from scammers and I still get an occasional one 6 months later.  For mental health I play with their head a little or just hit delete.  For every 1 semi-serious enquiry I receive about ten scam hits.  Same happens with my web site.  I cannot imaging any way to prevent them, wish there was.

Subject: IML: scames

I would like to know why it is that every time I try to sell my Imperial on this site I get many e-mails from people who just want to rip me off. If they are not from the members of this site how do they get the info. In two years I have recived two checks from people who think I was born yeaterday. Is this a problem for anyone? Or is it just me? I would like some feed back. Thank you Pete.
